This was a re-design job: the existing site was showing its age and becoming difficult to manage. The site's editors can now update news items and publish visitors' messages without any knowledge of HTML.
Redthorn wanted a site to attract those in the upper echelon of IT management, so the brief was for the site to have a certain gravity, to look 'serious'. We produced several suggested designs for Redthorn to select from, all based around their logo and a preferred colour scheme.
This is an example of a site built to the customer's design, where we had to create a product which matched colours, fonts and item placements to a strict plan.
We provided sophisticated facilities for managing Complicit's product catalogue, order processing, stock management and page content. Their customers can download MP3 tracks and pay online.
Malcolm's site is largely a catalogue of pictures of his work, including some work-in-progress snaps. We tried to achieve a very clear and uncluttered site in order to let the pictures stand out and tell the story.
